2025年2月の研究訪問をきっかけに、インドネシア・バンドンにあるインドネシア教育大学（Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, UPI）との交流が始まりました。UPIは、私がFaculty Advisorを務めるオンライン国際学生会議OISCの参加校でもあります。

A research visit in February 2025 began our relationship with Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) in Bandung. UPI is also a member institution of OISC, the online international student conference for which I serve as a Faculty Advisor.

観光と英語という共通の関心を軸に、授業交流、COIL（オンライン協働学習）、現地でのフィールドスタディへと、段階的に連携を育てています。

Built on a shared interest in tourism and English, the partnership is growing step by step: from class exchanges and COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) to fieldwork in Indonesia.

Roadmap

連携のステップSteps in the partnership

  1. UPIへの研究訪問Research visit to UPIUPIの授業を訪問し、学生・教員と交流。連携に向けた対話が始まる。Visiting UPI classes and meeting students and faculty; the conversation about a partnership begins.
  2. UPIの教員・学生が来学UPI faculty and students visit Osaka日本とインドネシアの観光を英語で紹介し合う、対面の授業交流を実施予定。A face-to-face class exchange introducing tourism in Japan and Indonesia in English (planned).
  3. COILを2回実施Two COIL sessions11月16日「観光」、11月30日「異文化理解」をテーマに、オンラインで発表とフィードバック（予定）。Online presentations and feedback on tourism (16 November) and intercultural understanding (30 November) (planned).
  4. 通年のCOILへYear-round COIL前期「海外文化研究2」、後期「Advanced English」にCOILを組み込み、1年を通じた交流に。COIL built into Overseas Cultural Studies 2 (spring) and Advanced English (autumn) for exchange throughout the year.
  5. インドネシア・フィールドスタディField study in Indonesia両大学の学生が現地で共同調査を行い、英語で発表するプログラムを計画中。A programme in which students from both universities carry out joint fieldwork and present in English (in planning).
  6. 協定締結に向けてTowards a formal agreement継続的な連携の基盤として、協定（MOU）の締結に向けた協議を進めています。Discussions are under way towards a memorandum of understanding (MOU) as a basis for long-term collaboration.

COIL

COIL（オンライン協働学習）の進め方How our COIL sessions work

  1. テーマを共有Set a shared theme観光、異文化理解など、各回のテーマを両大学で事前に設定します。Both universities agree a theme for each session in advance, such as tourism or intercultural understanding.
  2. 発表を聴き合うPresent to each otherオンラインで、両大学の学生が英語で発表し、互いの発表を聴きます。Students from both universities present in English online and listen to each other.
  3. 少人数でフィードバックFeedback in small groupsブレイクアウトルームに分かれ、コメントや質問を交わします。In breakout rooms, students exchange comments and questions.
  4. 全体で振り返るReflect together最後に全体でフィードバックを共有し、次の学びにつなげます。The session closes with whole-group feedback that feeds into the next stage of learning.
